Acts 10:1-48

In the story of Peter at the house of Cornelius we find the beginning of the Gentile Church. Cornelius and his household were the first of the Gentiles to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus. Peter as a Jewish believer had to undergo his own conversion. The Lord caused Peter to understand that through Christ He has taken away the distinction between the Jews and the Gentiles. We also need to understand that because God does not show favoritism, neither should we.
