Danielle Fields became the Worship Director at West Side in April of 2021, following more than 30 years of service as a keyboardist and vocalist in the church’s music program. She is thrilled to be able to lead the congregation she’s been a part of since childhood, and is even more blessed to be able to minister alongside her family and lifelong friends.
Danielle has served in nearly every aspect of ministry at West Side over the years, including the nursery, teaching Sunday School, leading youth group, and serving on various boards and councils. She has been participating in the Illinois District Church of the Nazarene’s Bible quizzing program as either a quizzer or official for more than three decades and is also active in the community, serving as a member of the Board of Directors for Staley Credit Union.
Danielle, a Decatur native, has a bachelor of science degree and an MBA from Millikin University (MU) and a doctorate in education from Trevecca Nazarene University. Outside of church, she is the Vice President of Operations at Lincoln Christian University (LCU) and serves as an adjunct faculty member at both MU and LCU. In her free time, Danielle enjoys participating in trivia nights and taking too many trips to Disney World with her husband, Bill, and their sons, Josh and Owen.
