Dani was born and raised in Decatur. She started attending West Side on and off with her aunt and uncle as a young girl. Dani started attending regularly with her grandparents in middle school. She met her now husband, Dylan, in the youth group. Dani and Dylan were married in 2013. They have one daughter, Hazel, and are also foster parents.
As far back as Dani can remember she has enjoyed working with children. She believes this stems from being the oldest of 8 grandchildren that were raised more like siblings than cousins. In high school Dani was part of a student teacher program and helped a first grade teacher throughout the semester. She took some education classes in college as well. She worked as a babysitter for several years before becoming a stay at home mom. Dani now stays home watching her nephews and caring for their foster children.
Once out of the youth group Dani started helping out with the Children's Department. In 2014, Dani took on the Nursery, making the schedule for the volunteers as well as being a nursery worker herself. Dani helped with varies church events over the years. She was then asked to take over different children's events over the years as well. In 2020, Dani was named the new Children's Director. She enjoys finding fun learning materials for the children, planning events and teaching the children on Sunday mornings.
